Understand more about what might cause a person to have thoughts of suicide and practice the skills and approach to make a positive difference through suicide intervention conversations and safety planning.

Option to qualify with City & Guilds accreditation following extra research with assessment fee payable directly to C&G

What does the COURSE aim to achieve?

Equip someone with the skills and knowledge to be able to confidently handle a direct conversation with someone having thoughts of suicide and help them get the help they need. Learn how to co-create a safety plan, how and where to signpost and the importance of self care in dealing with such matters.

Note that this course has the option to qualify with a City & Guilds accreditation following extra research with an assessment fee payable directly to C&G. 

Learning Outcomes
  • Be able to have a confident, critical conversation with someone in crisis to help them get the help they need and a reminder to practice good self-care.
  • Know how to create a suicide safety plan and connect people with the right support through appropriate signposting.
